Degree/ Year in School? Masters in Early Childhood Education
If you could be any animal, what would you be and why? Dolphin, because I love watching them in the ocean and they always look like they're smiling.
What is your favorite thing about Grassroots? Impossible to pick a favorite--from the owners to the gymnasts to competitions--so many awesome aspects!
What your favorite event to coach and why? I love coaching team beam! I enjoy it because it involves so many components and I love teaching gymnasts how to 'own' the beam.
Tell us more! A cool fact, something funny, etc,. Andy Warhol is my cousin.
I have always had an aptitude for leading. Not always from the leader’s position but from anywhere in the group. With simple words of encouragement or by being an example, I love the opportunity to help another grow as an athlete, tackle their fears, or just become a better human. This is coaching to me. To be a good leader you have to be a good learner, and coaching teaches me every day. I never want to stop coaching. Grassroots Gymnastics is my platform for my coaching career and I couldn’t be happier to have the opportunity to shape young lives and give little tidbits of life lessons to the athletes who come through our program. Maybe a few remember me and a life lesson or two 20 years down the road.
